Announcement on behalf of Gerald Hector, senior vice president for administration and finance, and Matthew Hall, vice president for information technology and chief information officer
The divisions of Administration and Finance and UCF Information Technology are pleased to announce the launch of the Workday News Blog effective immediately.
The blog is located on the Knights Experience Team (kNEXT) website’s top navigation bar for ready access by the entire UCF community. Links are also available from the websites of the offices of Financial Affairs and Human Resources.
This blog will serve as a one-stop shop for all finance and HR system and business process information and news for all faculty, staff and student Workday users. Blog entries are listed chronologically but can also be filtered by categories of general interest (i.e., gifts, grants, payroll, procurement, staffing and compensation, training, travel and expenses). Examples include launch of new or updated learning resources (knowledge articles, virtual or face-to-face courses, etc.), academic and administrative business process improvements made possible by Workday, and general system maintenance and upgrade announcements. Time-sensitive and other important announcements will still be distributed via campus email in addition to the blog to ensure they reach impacted users.
Thanks to the feedback and tireless efforts of our dedicated employees, we are making significant strides as we continue to collaboratively build out and refine the new Workday ERP system. Have more suggestions to help us improve? Please contact your respective college or division Finance or HR Business Center as listed on the kNEXT website.
Finally, please continue to reach out when you need help starting or completing a task in Workday or experience an issue by submitting a Workday Help case.
We realize that this crucial step in UCF’s history has been arduous and we continue to be extremely appreciative and inspired by the dedication of our employees to go beyond the call of duty. Thank you again for your service and commitment to our students and one another!
